Crown Hill is a quiet neighborhood of old-growth trees, beautiful old red brick homes, and views of Elliott Bay and the Puget Sound. The neighborhood is bounded on the south by N.W. 85th Street (beyond which is Ballard), on the east by 8th Avenue NW (beyond which is Greenwood), on the north by Holman Road NW, and on the west by 15th Avenue NW.  The main drag that bisects the community, Holman Road, is home to a landmark vintage 1960 Dick’s Drive-In. Sound View Playfield is popular with runners and Little Leaguers and features a playground and waiting pool that are maintained by community volunteers.  The Crown Hill Neighbors Garage Sale happens annually in July. The 15 bus links Crown Hill to downtown Seattle, the 48 goes to the University District and Capitol Hill, and the 75 takes riders to Ballard and Northgate.
